HelpPay the app "revolutionising the way people can help with others' bills"

Media Coverage Dated: 10 March 2022

On March 10, 2022 HelpPay was featured by Channel 9 News in a special report in Victoria and other Australian states.

From Channel 9's News' web article about the story,

"Melbourne-made technology is set to revolutionise the way people can financially help family, friends or a stranger. The HelpPay phone app is designed specifically to make the task of asking for help, and paying others' bills, very simple.

People in need of help can create accounts for any bills that come with a BPAY code and the link can then be shared with others."

"Anyone who has the link to the account can then directly pay the bill. The service guarantees the payee's money will end up exactly where it was intended for. HelpPay co-founder Rowan Wilde said the creators "couldn't believe no one had thought of it before".

"There's plenty of payment apps to give someone money, but there weren't any to make sure the money went exactly where the person was asking for it to go to," he said. Power company Tango Energy has become the first company to sign up to the app and tell customers about it."

About HelpPay

HelpPay, a 100% Australian owned company, is a new social fintech and business platform with patent pending technology in the payments industry that takes the stigma out of asking for help and the effort of providing help. HelpPay turns every bill into a shareable link and payment page, and, uniquely, guarantees financial help given towards a bill only goes to the provider.

HelpPay has undertaken market research to address the pain points for customers and providers when handling debt. HelpPay takes all the pain points and customers' experience in the cycle of asking, giving and getting financial help today. HelpPay is also significantly cheaper for providers when managing their accounts receivable and less stressful for customers than traditional methods such as phone calls, sending letters and using debt collection agencies.
